About America 250

America250 (branded America 250) is a nonpartisan national initiative organizing programs and events to engage Americans in the 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) of the United States on July 4, 2026. The initiative coordinates nationwide commemorations, volunteer campaigns, educational contests and story-collection projects, maintains a public calendar of events and offers merchandise to support its programs. America250 partners with federal cultural institutions, state semiquincentennial commissions, sponsors and local organizers to preserve and promote American historical and civic stories and to expand public participation in the 2026 celebration.
