Environmental Progress (EP) is an independent, nonpartisan research, advocacy, organizing and grant-making organization focused on environmental policy, nature conservation, and energy issues. EP incubates ideas and movements promoting nature, peace and human-centered environmentalism; it conducts research and campaigns on topics including nuclear energy advocacy (Stand Up for Nuclear), impacts of renewable energy on wildlife and habitat, conservation of endangered species, and policy initiatives such as the California Peace Coalition. In 2024 the organization transitioned to a new name, Civilization Works, continuing the same mission under an expanded vision.
