About
The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is a Europe-wide awareness campaign that promotes sustainable resource use and waste prevention. Held each November, the EWWR encourages citizens, public authorities, schools, NGOs and organizations to run actions focused on reducing, reusing and recycling waste, and also supports clean-up events. The campaign collects and showcases participating actions in an actions database, runs annual awards for outstanding initiatives, and coordinates related regional campaigns such as the Euro-Med Weeks for Waste Reduction and the Lets Clean Up Europe sister campaign.
