FIOM-CGIL (Federazione Impiegati Operai Metallurgici) is the national metalworkers federation of the Italian General Confederation of Labour (CGIL). It is a trade union representing metalworkers across Italy, engaging in collective bargaining (including the national metalworkers contract - CCNL Metalmeccanici), workplace representation, industrial and territorial campaigns, health and safety, welfare and social protection, training, and advocacy on labour, employment and industrial policy. The federation publishes news and communications, coordinates local chapters and workplace assemblies, and negotiates with employers and industry groups on behalf of its members.
