The American Iris Society (AIS) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization founded in 1927 to promote the culture, appreciation and improvement of the iris. AIS supports gardeners, hybridizers, growers and iris enthusiasts with membership services, regional and local clubs, publications (including the AIS Bulletin), registration and nomenclature resources, educational materials, awards, exhibitions, an Iris Encyclopedia (Iris Wiki), and outreach including webinars and social media. The society accepts donations and operates as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
