About Minetest
Minetest is an open source voxel game engine that allows users to play a variety of games, create and modify their own games, and participate in multiplayer experiences. The engine supports extensive modding through a Lua API, enabling users to develop new games or enhance existing ones with custom content. Minetest features large, procedurally generated maps, a wide selection of community-created mods and texture packs, and is available on multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, GNU/Linux, BSD variants, and Android. The project is developed transparently and supported by an active community, with over 1,100 open source mods available through ContentDB.
