The North American Butterfly Association (NABA) is a nonprofit conservation and education organization dedicated to the protection, monitoring and restoration of wild butterflies and their habitats across North America. NABA coordinates citizen-science butterfly counts, maintains a large database of sightings used by researchers, certifies butterfly gardens, publishes periodicals (American Butterflies and Butterfly Gardener), produces an annual counts report and a checklist of North American butterflies, and supports habitat creation, restoration, public education and community engagement to reverse butterfly declines.
