Naval Marine Archive The Canadian Collection is a Canadian charitable archive and museum in Picton, Ontario, dedicated to preserving and promoting maritime history. The organization maintains extensive collections (about half a million items, including more than 80,000 books), ship databases, marine art exhibitions, ship models and displays, research collections, bibliographies, educational programming, and publishes/selects books for sale. It supports nautical education, marine research, conservation and military and aeronautical history, and offers visitor programs and virtual content. The Archive operates a reading room, hosts exhibitions (including the Canadian Society of Marine Artists exhibit), maintains a ships database focused on Canadian shipping and Great Lakes history, and accepts donations (with charitable receipts).
