About
The Postal Technology Centre (PTC) is the operational arm of the Telematics Cooperative of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), based at UPU Headquarters in Bern, Switzerland. PTC manages and coordinates UPU telematics and technology activities and projects, including development, deployment and support of UPU applications (notably the International Postal System (IPS) and the International Financial System (IFS)), operation of the UPU network (POSTNet) and value-added services, help desk and training, and regional support through four Regional Support Centres. Its work focuses on mail and parcels IT solutions, tracking & tracing, EDI messaging, electronic money order and international postal payments, and supporting Posts worldwide with secure global communication networks and postal financial and logistics systems.
