About
Redox OS is an open-source, Unix-like microkernel operating system written in Rust that emphasizes security, reliability and safety. It provides a Rust-written kernel and drivers, userspace drivers, a ZFS-inspired filesystem, support for Intel/AMD, ARM and RISC-V, virtualization, desktop and cloud use, GUI toolkits and many ports of Unix programs. Redox aims to be a complete alternative to Linux and BSD with a small attack surface, fast boot and low memory usage. The project is community-driven, MIT-licensed and self-hosted with active contributors and sponsorship support.
