About Strands
Strands is an online word-puzzle game played on a 6-by-8 letter grid. Each puzzle presents 48 letters that players connect (horizontally, vertically or diagonally, changing direction allowed) to find theme words that share a commonality. Each puzzle includes a special theme-spanning word (the "spangram") that touches two opposite sides of the board. The site offers unlimited free play, hint mechanics (earned by entering valid but off-theme words) and a simple mobile/PC interface for selecting letters by tapping or sliding.
