About
HUN-REN SZTAKI (Számítástechnikai és Automatizálási Kutatóintézet) is Hungary's largest information technology research institute and a member of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network. The institute conducts research and development in artificial intelligence, autonomous and robotic systems, distributed and cloud computing, cyber-physical production systems, cybersecurity, machine perception and interaction, mathematical optimization and statistical machine learning, multimedia and virtual learning environments, and remote sensing using satellite/airborne data. SZTAKI coordinates national laboratories, runs spin-off research ventures (for example EPIC Innolabs and Holodetect), and collaborates with industry and international academic partners to transfer research into practical applications.
