About UEFI
The UEFI Forum (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface Forum) is an industry consortium that develops, publishes and promotes specifications and test tools for firmware and platform initialization, including the UEFI specification, Platform Initialization (PI) and ACPI standards. The Forum provides specifications, reference materials, registries, test tools, whitepapers, events (developers conferences and plugfests), and membership services to hardware and software platform developers, system integrators and other industry participants.
