About
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is a permanent intergovernmental body of the United Nations that supports developing countries in harnessing the benefits of the global economy for inclusive and sustainable development. UNCTAD provides research, data, policy analysis, technical assistance, capacity-building and consensus-building services on international trade, investment, finance, digital economy and development policy. It publishes flagship reports (for example the World Investment Report), maintains databases, organizes conferences and training events, and convenes member states and stakeholders to advance trade and development agendas. UNCTAD is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
